Last Saturday, Sept. 13th would have been Chuck's 59th Birthday.  He is deeply missed and loved.

Here are more shawls that I made because that is what I do.

We are having a heatwave and it's hard to concentrate but I knit/crochet on.  Here are another Just Knit It and Angel Wings Shawls.  I'm still working through the stash and that's why there are going to be lots of two or more color shawls and stripes.   Everytime  I think I'm making a dent in the stash I get a new yarn donation from the shawl group.  I love the constant inspiration that the yarns provide.

Today is my eldest child’s birthday and she spent the Labor Day weekend in New York celebrating.  I am so blessed to have her in my life and I am thankful that she is in a good phase in her life. She is finishing her final year of law school and has done this while working in a law firm, too.  I am extremely proud of her.

Meanwhile I knit two more garter stitch shawls.  I’m so excited that I am able to use up all the leftover Lion Brand Homespun.  I have another one on the needles right now.  Size 15 needles, cast on 5 – 7 and kfb at the beginning of each row.

Signs of life on my apple tree. This gives me hope that despite neglect and a drought there are still signs of survival.

This was a quick project for the theme "Hello Ocean" on week 9. Surprisingly the summer went very fast and new assignments are being made for the fall.

I've been so stressed that I couldn't even start any complicated yarn projects so these next few items are easy, peasy, lemon squeezy.    This is a basic garter stitch rectangle shawl.  Cast on 60 with size 15 needles. (Mohair)  As I started this my Knit Picks Nickel plated needle and cable broke.  I called Knit Picks and they replaced it, no problem  Great customer service.

Basic garter stitch triangle shawl.  Cast on 3 to 5 stitches and kfb on the first stitch of every row.  Using size 15 needles and Lion Brand Homespun.

Steelers and Superman rubberband bracelets.

My mother discovered how easy and fun it was to knit ruffle scarves. She’s been churning them out at an astronomical rate.  My daughter and I were given these two scarves at Christmas.  I’m not quite sure that they are my style but I know how it is to knit/crochet something for someone and not have it appreciated.

These are two separate scarves. I just photographed them together on the mannequin.

I will attempt to find the right outfit and occasion to wear one. The giver must be present to view the item in use.  There will be photographic evidence.
