Austermann Mayfair Color - Size J hook - 6 skeins
Carmen's Shawl - Schachenmayr Nomotta - Lopomo - size L hook (8 skeins)
Halstead - Size L Hook - Patons Fresco (8 skeins)
This is Hexy and it's a winner. I will definitely make more of these. Free pattern available through Ravelry.
This is Schultertuch-Dreieckstuch, another winner. More of these coming soon. Free pattern available through Ravelry. The design is very similar to the Celebrity Shawl I made previously however, the stitch pattern is different.
A free Lion Brand pattern. I was able to use 7 skeins of a discontinued yarn that was donated to the shawl group.
Size H hook
Super yarn Mart: Pompadour Confetti – Lollipop
My next project in progress is Mirth. I’m knitting this while watching the Olympics. Every once in awhile I enjoy a nice knit lace pattern.
Inspired by a shawl worn by Jessica Simpson a long time ago. (Approx: 2004) I finally got around to crocheting it and it’s a good one.
I used a size K hook and worsted weight. It would be stunning in a lighter weight yarn.

Today would have been my 32nd wedding anniversary.
More milestones…today is my youngest son’s 20th Birthday. It’s all about him today so I will let the memories wash over me and say Thanks to God for blessing me with this gift.
It was 12 years ago on his 8th birthday that my husband & I took cupcakes and juice boxes to the school to celebrate. I remember it so well, I was a bleached blonde and one of his classmates was whispering to another student asking, ” who is that?” ”That’s his mom!, Wow, she’s pretty!”
That was the day I started blogging.
Now my son is 20 years old and attends college. I am no longer a bleached blonde and I’m widowed. The other day I overheard them talking and the friend said, “Wow, your Mom really looks young.”
But this is his day and it’s not about me. And so I blog…
