Aah, in my opinion, this combination of colors is slightly easier on the eyes.

Yes, I'm redoing the lace border on the Magnificent Mantle because I could not live with the mismatched colors.

These are not necessarily unique and I'm burning out on creativity.  I've recycled whatever was on hand in the studio. The felt bunny peeps were last year's project and I added them to a plastic strawberry basket that was woven with fabric strips cut from swatch sample books.  I'm actually thinking about not using the peeps and just having one large plastic egg along with a small paper booklet about the Christian Easter story.

The shamrock tin was a painted tea tin filled with shredded paper. I suppose the foam pencil toppers are self explanatory.  I used double sided foam tape to stick the foam pieces to the chenille stems. The foam tape didn't really hold that well so I'll probably add some glue.

  • Colorblind...

I would not be able to convince anyone that I am not colorblind once they get a look at my recently completed Magnificent Mantle.

I didn't think that the colors looked so contrasting when I was working on it but now that it's finished I can definitely see that it does not match.

Loops & Threads Charisma - Holiday and Caron One Pound - Forest Floor.   Size L hook.

    Sadly it's magnificently awful. :(

  • Art Doll Skirt

Self-explanatory.  Crocheted a skirt to fit the Art Doll.  Used a size G hook and pink Pound of Love.  Made in rows of sc and hdc and seamed up the back.  Added a waist tie.

    More photos of Birch.

  • Art Doll Hoodie

I purchased this Art Doll for the sole purpose of outfitting it with knitwear.  I kid you not, I am the farthest thing from an artist but when I noticed that others online were making clothing for these dolls I just had to get in on the action.

I'm starting with the outer layers and hopefully, I'll get to the under layers.  I supposed by a stretch of the imagination, I am creating some sort of Art.

I used a pattern for an Ipod Hoody and knit it to fit the Art doll.  Love it!

I kept it loose by accident but now I'm thinking that it's going to work out perfectly over the other layers.  I also had a major mishap during one of the fittings.  I broke off the left arm. :(

Lion Brand Jamie - candy print - size 3 needles (yarn held doubled),  Berroco Plush - Pink for the trim.

  • Birch

Yay!  It's a finished Birch! Two skeins of Patons Lace - Porcelain on size 8 needles.

    The mystery of the day...

I am 89 stitches away from the end of the pattern and I'm unsure if I have enough yarn to finish.

I messed up badly on a few of the rows and just couldn't figure out what went wrong and I chickened out of ripping back.  I have been unable to memorize the stitch pattern and despite having a chart and a row counter I cannot figure out where I was in the pattern.

I'm just going to keep on knitting.

I'm at the part where I can almost see the end. I tried to be very careful about matching the stripe colors when adding the second skein.

  • Birch - Progress

Birch is knitting along nicely. I'm not too satisfied with the stripe effect but it makes me feel like I'm making some progress.  Started with 299 stitches and I'm currently down to 169 and onto the second skein of Patons Lace.  I should have enough yarn because I'll be knitting fewer stitches, at least that's what I'm hoping.
