Mara is a free pattern. I used size 9 needles and Caron One Pound - Country Rose.

I've started crocheting Cassandra, a Lily Go pattern.

The knitted Mara edging is slowly growing, the suggested depth is 4 inches but I'm going to try to use up all the yarn so we'll have to see if it'll be shorter or longer.

I'm not usually a two in-progress project person so this is interesting to me to have something unfinished and another one started.

Getting ready to decoupage jars to use with tea light candles. 

I finally reached the edging portion of Mara. The stitches on the needles have doubled and I may have to add another cable.  If there is a next time, I'm going to eliminate the increases at the point.

I'm a slow knitter and although this project is mostly garter stitch with a few yarn overs, I haven't made much progress in the past two days.

Since this will be the third time I've made the pattern I know that I'll run out of knitting cable space by the time I reach the edging of the shawl.  So I brought out my two Boye needlemaster sets and started linking the cables together. These needles were my first interchangeable needles way back in the '80s and I used them for every knitting project. Today there are so many choices of interchangeable needles sets available and I own a few of them however, I usually find myself going back to the original Boye needlemaster.

Free pattern from Lion Brand - South Bay Shawlette.  Size J hook - Caron One Pound - Iris.

Added one more set of rows. The One Pound yarn is stiff so a larger hook would make the shawlette more open and drape nicer.
