  • So Much of Life to Live.

    Popcornopolis 4-2014

Yes, I celebrated another birthday!  My youngest brother's family sent me this huge tin of Popcornopolis popcorn.  I just barely finished the Popcornopolis cones that I received from the office Christmas party.  Yum, yum, yummy Zebra mix, peanut butter mix and kettle corn.  So much goodness all at once.  I am so spoiled.

    Star Trek bag Sketchers bag

I was feeling the sewing buzz and revamped this Skechers bag into a Star Trek bag.  When you purchase Skechers shoes they give you these cool nylon bags instead of plastic shopping bags.  It's the perfect size for my knitting/crochet and it's so now.  Browsing through JoAnn Fabrics, I spotted this Star Trek fabric and could not pass without buying it.

I simply made a slip cover and attached it over the original Skechers bag which is now the lining of my new Star Trek bag. Love, love, love...

New Look 6999 pocket New Look 6888

Since I was already on a roll with the sewing I quickly cut out and put together this sundress. New Look pattern 6888   This is the second time I used this pattern and I love the carefree nature of the style, although it is basically a muumuu or house dress.  This time I added contrasting pockets and because of the bold flower print, I had to add a smaller breast pocket to cover up a potentially embarrassing flower right over my boob.

Have Faith Shawl Have Faith Shawl - back

To sum up my burst of creativity, I crocheted this Shawl which has an inspiring name...Have Faith.

I was inspired to make this hexagon lapghan because the pattern is named Granny's Hexagon Garden.  I used leftover blues and whites.
